students interested in military service may wish to explore the possibilities of applying to attend one of the U.S. Military Academies, or take part in ROTC programs at their college of choice. The requirements, applications, and activities of these options are different from your regular college applications, so starting to do research and plan for these options early in High School is important.

Letters of Recommendation
Starting early in the fall of Senior year it is good practice to start requesting Letters of Recommendation from Teachers, Coaches, Employers, or anyone else that can speak on your behalf as to your qualities and achievements. I recommend students request a minimum of 3 letters with 5 being better. If you are using Common App you will not upload letters but will rather add Recommenders to your application who will be contacted by Common App to submit a recommendation for you.
The links below connect to several useful Recommendation info forms you can fill out to give to individuals that you ask for a recommendation. This helps your Recommenders when drafting your letter. Please give one of these filled out to every person you request from, it really is very helpful!
